Commentary to Atypical

How typical is Atypical?

With Matt & Rees

Exciting news!

Next Sunday, July 5th, at 5 pm EST/10 pm BST,  our first podcast guest, and our friend, Rees Finlay will join me live on Zoom to provide some insightful and funny commentary on the first episode of the Netflix series Atypical. We’ll discuss what the show gets right, what annoying stereotypes they perpetuate, and etc.

How to join

The first 100 people to express interest in joining the live Zoom session can be there to chat with us during the screening. Attendance will be determined on the first 100 people who RSVP me via my contact page. Mention “Atypical Netflix screening” and I’ll add you to the list.

We won’t stream video or audio of Atypical due to copyright restrictions, but we found a nifty browser extension that will let you join a private watch party with us. All you need is a Netflix account and to install the Netflix Party browser extension. Once the extension is installed all you’ll need to do is sit back and relax. We’ll provide a link that’ll bring you to the party and it’s all automatic from there. For those of you who wish to follow along without the chat feature (or running an incompatible browser), we’ll also have our Zoom meeting chat.

On the day of the screening, we’ll send emails to the participants who signed up. If we have any extra space we’ll make the invite public an hour prior to the event. So, get on those emails!
