Internalization is the process of a conscious mind reasoning about a specific subject, and grounding it internally; it’s associated with learning within an organism, and recalling what has been learned. In behavioral psychology, internalization can also refer to behaviors and conditions (e.g. depressionanxiety disorderbulimia, anorexia) in which a person deals with stressors in ways that don’t manifest externally.
