Assessment Process Policy

1. You acknowledge that after payment is processed, it may take 1–5 business days for our staff to send you instructions and links to begin your assessment.
2. You acknowledge that once all diagnostic documents and test results have been uploaded, it may take approximately 12–16 weeks for your clinician to review your file and contact you to schedule your diagnostic interview.
3. You acknowledge that after your file review is complete, it may take an additional 2–4 months to obtain an interview appointment, depending on clinician availability. Your final diagnostic report is completed after the interview.
4. If you are attempting to meet a deadline, please let us know so we can see about fast-tracking your file. There may be an additional charge.
5. If you have not heard from us within the expected timeframe:
   
   • Check your junk/spam mailbox first for emails from us.
   • If you haven’t received anything in your inbox, contact Embrace Autism’s clinical assistant at clinicalassistant@embrace-autism.com.
   • Alternatively, call our office at +1 905 845 4994 and leave a brief message with your name, client number, and the reason for your call.

   Diagnostic Interview Appointment Policy

   If you need to cancel or reschedule your diagnostic interview:

6. You must notify us in writing at least 48 hours (2 business days) before your appointment.
7. If less than 48 hours’ written notice is provided, or if you do not attend your appointment, the appointment will be considered a missed appointment and a CA$250 missed appointment fee will apply.
8. A new appointment will be scheduled once this fee has been paid.
9. Please note that our clinicians and you may be in different time zones, so pay close attention to your time zone to ensure you are not booking an appointment that is not manageable for you. Missed appointments due to time zone errors are considered missed appointments.
10. You must be in a secure, safe, and private location when doing the interview. Your privacy is our main concern.

11. Download Policy

12. You have 30 days to download your screening or diagnostic report after it has been completed and sent to you. After 30 days, a CA$30 administrative fee applies to reissue the report.

13. Pricing Policy

14. You acknowledge that prices may change over time. However, once you purchase an assessment, your price is locked in for 6 months from the date of purchase.
15. You acknowledge that if you have not submitted all required documents within 12 months, you will be required to pay any price difference if fees have increased.

16. Refund Policy

17. If you choose to cancel the autism assessment process after making the purchase, we will withhold CA$100 from your refund to cover our non-recoupable expenses.

18. You acknowledge that due to the immediate delivery of proprietary assessment materials, questionnaires, and clinical resources included in the screening and diagnostic packages, refunds will not be provided once access has been granted or materials have been sent.

    If you choose to cancel days or weeks before the final reports, you will not receive an incomplete report—or indeed any report.

19. Cancellation Policy

20. You acknowledge that if you cancel before the assessment is completed, you will not receive a report, as reports are issued only after the full assessment process is complete.

21. Respectful Communication

22. We understand that the assessment process can be emotional and stressful. However, respectful communication with our staff and clinicians is required at all times.

    If a client engages in abusive, threatening, or repeatedly disrespectful communication, Embrace Autism reserves the right to terminate services immediately without refund and may refuse future services.

Online Psychometric Tests & Personalized Reports

Embrace Autism provides access to online psychometric questionnaires, including autism, ADHD, autistic burnout, alexithymia, and related measures. Some questionnaires are free to complete, with the option to purchase additional personalized results and/or a downloadable PDF report.

By using these tests or purchasing a personalized report, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Psychometric tests are not diagnostic assessments. Test scores and personalized reports are provided for informational and educational purposes and cannot, on their own, determine whether you have autism, ADHD, or any other diagnosis.
2. Results should be considered in context. A score above or below a particular threshold does not confirm or rule out a diagnosis. Psychometric results are one source of information and may be considered alongside developmental history, lived experience, clinical assessment, and other relevant information.
3. Free and paid results may differ. Where applicable, you can complete the questionnaire and receive your basic score or results without purchasing a report. Payment provides access to the additional results, interpretation, profile, and/or PDF described on the individual test page.
4. Purchasing a report does not create a clinical relationship. Completing a test or purchasing a personalized report does not establish a clinician–patient, therapist–client, or other healthcare relationship with Embrace Autism or any of its clinicians.
5. Personalized reports are automatically generated. Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the test page, personalized psychometric reports are generated from the answers you provide and have not been individually reviewed, interpreted, or approved by a psychologist, physician, or other clinician.
6. You are responsible for the information you enter. Results are calculated from the responses you provide. Embrace Autism cannot guarantee the usefulness or accuracy of a result where responses are incomplete, inaccurate, or do not reflect your experiences.
7. Results are not intended for emergencies or treatment decisions. Psychometric tests and reports should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
8. Third-party acceptance is not guaranteed. Embrace Autism cannot guarantee that a healthcare professional, employer, educational institution, insurer, government agency, or other third party will accept or rely upon an online psychometric test or personalized report.
9. Test content and personalized reports are for personal use. Unless otherwise permitted, test materials, scoring systems, personalized report content, graphics, and other proprietary Embrace Autism materials may not be copied, reproduced, republished, sold, distributed, scraped, systematically extracted, or used to create competing products or services.
10. Technical issues may occasionally occur. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, payment system, test platform, or report-generation system. If you purchase a report and a technical problem prevents you from accessing it, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, restore access.
11. Digital report purchases. Because personalized reports are digital products generated using the responses you submit and made available following payment, purchases are generally non-refundable once the personalized results or report have been generated or made available, except where required by applicable law or where Embrace Autism determines that a refund is appropriate.
