Intersectionality
A sociology theory that explains how there are many different interconnected and overlapping social categories. These social groups contain their own forms of minorities, and with that their own forms of discrimination and disadvantage. Race, class, and gender are major social categories and a person can belong to different parts of each social category with different forms of discrimination for each.
