Mind-blindness

A state in which theory of mind has not been developed, or does not make sense to an individual.  This person is not able to “put themselves into someone else’s shoes” and can’t understand, empathize, or conceptualize the actions and their intentions of another person.  There is a theory that even highly intelligent people with autism can be challenged with some form of mind-blindness.
