Autistic impostor syndrome (AIS) refers to ones belief or concern that they might not actually be autistic.  That they are merely fitting a mold set by others so they can be perceived properly.  They want to feel a sense of clarity or belonging, but instead feel like they are wearing a mask and they are an impostor.
