A dog is a commonly domesticated meat eating mammal people often have as a pet.  The animal runs on four legs and has an acute sense of smelling.  At times dogs can work along side their fellow man and help with jobs like hunting and anything that their good sense of smell can assist with, such as finding people lost under snow or debris.
