Asperger syndrome
Asperger Syndrome (AS) – A neurodevelopmental disorder originally identified (1944) by Dr Hans Asperger as a psychiatric condition – a form of childhood schizophrenia. AS is no longer a category in the DSM-V which has put all the previous classifications under the general category of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) levels 1,2 and 3 instead of Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PPD).
