The autism screening gives an indication of whether autistic characteristics are present, which need to be further examined and validated in a formal diagnostic assessment (part 2 of the assessment process).
The diagnostic assessment is a clinician-assigned diagnosis—determined by using a wide array of clinically validated tools that follow the ‘gold standard’ of autism diagnosis, and includes an assessment of ADHD traits.
A letter of accommodation (LOA) is a confidential document that provides a written statement explaining the reasonable accommodations that are being requested for your school, work, or other entity.
